We believe in what we do at our core
Our company philosophy isn't a banner; it is a way of life. It pervades everything that we do, from who we will hire, to who we will work with, to what we expect of ourselves. |
Our core values form the most critical foundation for success of any enterprise. We hold these truths to be self-evident.
How does one describe their company's philosophy or values? There are no shortage of companies that flaunt banners that are intended to describe their values or corporate philosophy. These are often embodied in corporate slogans, value statements, codes of conduct, and other meaningless artifacts that never really describe the company. Some companies will say they are people-focused, but really see people only as a disposable resource and not as a member of their corporate family. Some espouse ethics, but hide behind the slogan rather than create an environment that deals honestly and transparently with known issues. And many may chant customer focus, but few in the company actually ever interact with the real customers.
What makes a company great – not unlike an individual – are its heart and soul – the tenets that one believes in and lives by. These come from the people. They are not beliefs you can force people to believe in through annual training and certification programs – and they are evident to everyone on our very best days and exist most vividly when no one else is looking.

They are not beliefs you can force people to believe in through annual training and certification programs – and they are evident to everyone on our very best days and exist most vividly when no one else is looking.
We believe these core values to include:
- Honor. We cannot take lightly the responsibility we have assumed in supporting our national security. Men and woman or our armed forces – soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines – have the courage to show up, to leave their families for something bigger than themselves. Each and every day we need to take a moment to say thanks, to let them know what what they do for our nation is something bigger than ourselves, and through their services, we will inherit to our children the world's greatest nation, just like the one we got from those who gave so much before them.
- Integrity. We demand it in every way from our leaders and our employees, from the quality of our services, to the way in which we make decisions. Clients and partners must be able to count on that.
- Trust. If you have to ask yourself the question, "do I trust somebody," you already know the answer. Trust is the currency of leadership. It is the bloodline of a family. It is the pulse of a company and the motto for a nation.
- Respect. We respect each other with courtesy, dignity and respect. We encourage diversity, engage in open debate, explore novel solutions, and continuously seek to better ourselves.
- Selflessness. Give first, expect nothing in return. Acting for the team first, and for yourself, afterwards.
Employees in many companies are often confused by conflicting priorities. Shea Strategies, LLC believes our priorities should be made clear to our clients, our leadership, our employees, and our partners:
- Customer Mission. We exist to solve the most daunting challenges facing mankind today, to protect and promote freedom around the world, and to secure our future, for our families, our communities, our nation and our way of life.
- Employee Well-Being. We will treat each other with courtesy, dignity and respect. We encourage diversity, engage in open debate, explore novel solutions, and continuously seek to better ourselves.
- The Company. We only exist as a company to deliver our people. Sure, we have legal and regulatory areas of responsibility, but we will always act on behalf of the company after we take care of our customer's missions and the employees we have who service them.
- Everything Else. If there is anything that comes after customer, employee and company, it goes here. Last.
